Our fertilizer tine is manufactured from high strength steel and features a double safety mechanism to protect your planter in the event of the tine hitting a large underground obstacle. The tine trips by means of a spring and if the obstacle is still obstructing the tine, a shear bolt shears of, allowing the tine to fold backwards and out of harm’s way. The tine has a replaceable tungsten point that slides over the tip of the tine. The tine is thin thus causing very little soil disturbance.
